What fresh new hell is this?

Word on the street is that Oregon will be going for another costume change for the Ducks’ game against Arizona on Saturday. The team may very well be wearing these bizarre black concoctions, with the fucking emo wings.

Vierdsen knew something was wrong when Alabama switched from Russell Athletic to Nike in ’94, seeing that Russell had a long history in the state and Nike is run by a certifiable, yet wealthy and creative, nutcase. Fortunately, the only additions to the Tide jersey (beside the foolish houndstooth neck in the ’06 Ole Miss game) have been the NCAA-mandated pennant logo and the script-A in a circle on the collar.

Oregon, though, which is basically a subsidiary of Nike, has been ruined by Phil Knight and his crew’s “Battlestar Galactica” mentality to uniforms. And no, Vierdsen isn’t talking about the new version. The old version of the show. From the ’70s.

Please, stop the insanity.

Is Oregon going to bring out new uniforms this weekend? [Bleacher Report]
