The new polls: Obama wins Virginia, Florida

Like Vierdsen predicted earlier, the state polls are following the national average, and if events continue the way they have, Sen. Barack Obama beats Sen. John McCain in a rather significant way, 309-229, and that’s giving McCain the edge in New Hampshire, where the polling average has the race tied.

If McCain is going to reverse this trend, he’s going to have to get back on his horse and work hard.

That being said, this is how John sees McCain’s best-case scenario:

288-250

And, the best case for Obama:

364-174

Food for thought, at least. The old logic had it that the Electoral College was, because of voting patterns, predisposed to Republicans. But, like many other things this year, that bit of conventional wisdom doesn’t look so true.
