Lame 501(c)4 putting up lame ad on – WTF? – MTV

Let me lay this on you kids. You’re a Republican. You run an organization that has a shit-ton of money from some wealthy nutjob who wants the cash to remain anonymous. Your name is not Randy Page.

Ha, jokes!

But seriously, you’ve got all this cash to help out John McCain, and what do you do? You make the first political ad buy on MTV, slamming Barack Obama. Obama, who, by the way, enjoys more-than-substantial support from young voters.

That’s what Colin Hanna and Let Freedom Ring USA has done, which makes him about the dumbest motherfucker alive.

It would be like MoveOn.org slapping down a brick of Benjamins to buy time attacking McCain on the Military Channel. And, even better, it goes against what Hanna said would be the group’s objective when it was formed during the last presidential election.

“We think that Americans are basically positive and optimistic, and want to be inspired rather than repelled by politics. That’s why Let Freedom Ring will not engage in negative personal or partisan political attacks.”

That ad looked pretty negative, but my eyes may have been deceived by the godawful production value of the thing.
