For the first time in a very long time (if ever, since they both became the presumptive nominees), Sen. Barack Obama dipped below the magic number of 270 electoral votes against Sen. John McCain. While Obama still has a significant lead, Missouri, Indiana, and South Dakota have all gone “lean Republican.” New Hampshire, which was “lean Democrat,” switched to toss-up. Arizona, McCain’s home state, has switched from “strong Republican” to “lean Republican,” and while he will probably still win it, should be a concern since the trend has McCain losing ground to Obama since early in the year.
