According to the sportswriters following the SEC, Florida and Auburn have been predicted to meet in this year’s SEC Championship Game, with the Gators winning it all – a pick that runs counter to the GEORGIA IS TEH BEST NOMBA ONE !!!!!111!!!!11!1 theory that was the belief earlier this year.
For the most part, the picks did follow the conventional wisdom, though. In the SEC West, the standings went:
1. Auburn
2. LSU
3. Alabama
4. Mississippi State
5. Ole Miss
6. Arkansas
For the East, it went a little like this:
1. Florida
2. Georgia
3. Tennessee
4. South Carolina
5. Kentucky
6. Vanderbilt
Some jackass is totally in the bag for Ole Miss, though. They picked the Rebels to not only take the West, but to win the conference in Houston Nutt’s first campaign in Oxford. Maybe there were some sexy text messages involved.
