Legendary former Oakland Raiders and Alabama quarterback Kenny Stabler is taking a year off from being the color commentator on the Crimson Tide’s radio broadcasts this year.
The announcement, published in The Tuscaloosa News, comes on the heels of “The Snake” getting involved in yet another DUI incident.
This shouldn’t happen. It’s the fucking Snake. He was on the Raiders in the ’70s, dammit. Has there ever been a team at any time in history that lived up to its nickname like the ’70s Raiders? No, sir.
Look, all he wants to do is drink booze and drive around. Let’s give Kenny a track in the countryside near Tuscaloosa and let the man get his ya-yas out.
Seriously, listening to Bama on the radio this year is going to suck. Nobody tunes in to listen to the dulcet tones of Eli Gold.
